No, he could use a standard windows based keyboard temporarily, or permanently, just depending on his workflow, and if he wanted to or not.

It does work, actually. The only issue is like I said a second ago. Just remember that on an apple keyboard you go: control, option, command space bar. On a windows keyboard however, it's gonna be reversed, so you'd have: control, command! option, space bar. It takes some getting used to, but I use an Apple keyboard on my windows box now primarily, and though the same thing applies, your windows and alt keys are reversed, I wouldn't trade my apple keyboard that I use on windows for anything! You couldn't pasy me 500 bucks to part with it! I love this thing!

Chris.

I think this is your only option as the mac mini is a dumb terminal without these accessories.

Okay, I have just ordered my new mac mini, got the fusion drive, and all the
good stuff that comes with it. My question is, how do you set it up
annishally? Since it doesn't have a bt keyboard paired with it already, and
I don't want to go buy a USB just to activate my bt and connect my apple
wireless keyboard. Or is this my only option? Suggestions and ideas
welcomed please.
