Hi,

just to point out, the fix might not be coming in a Voiceover but, maybe a 
Safari update in the future.  Just a guess of course.  In the mean time,  I 
just press VO command L which lands me on the first link of the page.  You can 
use any other navigation command you would use in Safari, not just VO command L.
