Hello everyone, I have recently found a compatible scanning alternative for the Mac. Fujitsu manufactures the Scan Snap series, which is a scanner and software package. Currently, I am using the S1300I model purchased on Amazon for $249. Once the software is installed, the image scan appears neatly on the screen. After the 7 second scan is complete, the file is saved. Abby Fine Reader is the OCR conversion software that allows voiceover to read the text. Personally, I like this software because it is mainstream and another great averagely-priced alternative to the conventional scanning packages that exist. The scanning software is somewhat accessible. Once the scan is complete, and after some minimal button labeling, you are off to the races. If anyone would like a demo of this or would like to learn more feel free reply to this threat or respond off list.
