Navigon is accessible and does what any GPS app designed for sighted users 
would do. It gives turn by turn directions. However, it doesn't tell you what 
streets you're crossing and such like, so you can go a long time without 
hearing from Navigon. By the way, when setting it up, you have to make sure you 
select pedestrian mode with spoken instructions, or something along those 
lines, not just pedestrian mode.

Navigon does have a Direct Help facility, but it's much easier just to have 
Ariadne keeping you informed as to where you are at regular intervals.
