Hi, iTunes will not allow the conversion of purchased content to mp3 files, directly anyway. The restriction is due to the DRM encoding and licensing restrictions. If you wish to use iTunes to do this, you must first burn an audio CD from your purchased content, then re-import the tracks. You can choose to import them as mp3 content via your Import Preferences.
