Hi, Even with the Preview pane gone, VO will read a couple lines of your message due to the Conversation view. I simply press enter/return on the message to open it and cmd-w to close the conversation.
To get rid of the Preview pane, you need to move the Vertical Slider just to the right of the Message Content area. It needs to be moved all the way to the right so that VO reads 100% and sometimes it will say closed disclosure item. I previously posted that simply moving it would do the trick in ML but experienced a few frustrations with that method last evening on my iMac. The other method is double-clicking on this Vertical Slider, it must be the physical mouse click, not the virtual one through VO. I will investigate a little further to try to find a more reliable and efficient way of doing it with VO. Later...
