Alas it would be, but I have my theories on why they use fred for that
purpose.

Ah! That would be sweet: Alex reading the OSX install. I'd almost rather see
Apple get rid of Fred, Vicky and Victoria altogether since there are so many

I thought Victoria was prior voice to Alex?  Personally I quite like Alex,
and can't stand Fred.  He sounds rather creepy and too robotic.  I guess it
depends on what you are used to and how long you have been using TTS.
