Hi! Thanks for this. I just bought the apple extended care plan as part of my nearly 2 hour phone call with apple, just in case this turns out to be something serious. I sent my system info to apple, though, and based on that system report, they don't see any issues. So, I'll just have to monitor the situation and see what happens. Will try running off battery again tomorrow and see if results are any different. They were going to send me an article concerning things to check, but I haven't read it yet. The good news is that all of my problems have been reported, even if none have actually been resolved yet.

You can get details of your Mac's warranty status by taking the following steps: 1. In the Apple Menu select "About This Mac." 2. In the About This Mac dialog click the "More Info" button. 3. In the More Info dialog use VO to navigate through the items until you locate your serial number. 4. Launch Safari and go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do 5. Type your serial number and select your country and click continue. 6. On the next page, find and click the link labeled "See your service and support coverage." This will take you to a page that will give some details regarding the current status of your Phone support, Hardware support, and AppleCare options.
