Nope, but I think I'm still eligible to buy the apple care plan. I was just 
hoping to wait until I had a job, but I'd rather
have apple care before I investigate this too much further. It's just really 
distressing since there was absolutely nothing
wrong with my system prior to lion. I'm really beginning to regret updating at 
all. (sigh)
I think I'll call apple now and try to order my apple care plan if nothing else.

Hi Missy,
If it's that noticeable I would seriously consider taking it in.  Do you have 
an Applecare plan?  If so, take advantage of
it.  If not, I'd still take it in, this is the kind of thing that can drive you 
nuts if you don't take care of it.
