Mary, this might be what Esther was saying about new verses old, all I can say is on the 15in MacBook Pro we have here and the MacBook Air I use, in the web rotor characters and words are an option.
you will have to find out from someone else on list, as I have just looked in the VO connfig area and agree, those two items do not seem to appear in the choices list.
