Hi Michael. I've not done exactly what you want, but I have done similar things with audio hijack and applescript. Sometimes when recording podcasts with skype, I will want to play in audio clips. So to do that I need to hijack system audio. When doing that, I want to mute my microphone to reduce noise while clips are playing. I have two applescripts, one to mute my mic and the other to unmute it. I have those scripts tied to keys in VoiceOver's keyboard commander. That way I can trigger them from anywhere. I've not looked, but I would be really surprised if you couldn't have a script to launch audio hijack pro, hijack skype, and start recording. You would of course need the instant on component installed for that to work. I'll see if I can make this work, and if so, I'll respond to this thread with the script. Darcy
