There is a take control of your paperless office book that is a bit down on my reading list, but probably a good idea for other folks on this list.
I heard an interview with Joe Kissle who wrote the book, and one point he made is that the flat bed scanners that are so popular are not greate for OCR. He seems to like the Fujitsu line of scanners that can scan both sides of a sheet of paper and cost around $300 US. If anybody has some free cycles and would like to review the book here I would appreciate the knowledge.
