Hi Andy,
If you clicked on the link to Erik's tutorial for Marlaina (on using
item chooser menu) in Dropbox from mail, and the file is already
playing in a plug-in for your Safari browser, you can press Command+L
and then press Return. This is a general Mac shortcut (not specific
to VoiceOver). To force downloading of a linked mp3 music file or a
PDF that is in Safari, press Option+Return for a link within a Safari.
Pressing Option+Return will cause a highlighted, linked file to
download to your default downloads location. By definition, the
VoiceOver cursor highlights links when they have focus, so if you've
navigated to a link in a Safari web page the Option+Return combination
will cause that file to download instead of play (or, in the case of a
PDF file, be displayed) in your web browser.
HTH. I notice the discussion moved on without answering your
question. I've deleted the earlier questions that prompted Erik's
response, in order to keep this post from getting too long.
Cheers,
Esther

How do you download it? When I clicked on the link, WMP came up and

OK, You know the old saying, a tutorial is worth a thousand emails.
Try this.

I'm a bit mic shy, so maybe it will be no help at all, but maybe it
will
give you a better idea what's supposed to happen.
