I have a macbook that is a couple of years old. Anytime I have connected my
victor reader stream to the mac the stream was not recognized at all and my mac
completely locked up. Has there been a change in compatibility? It's been a
really really long time since I tried the USB connection from the stream to the
mac. I've just always used the SD card reader since it's a lot faster anyways.
The only reason I had for connecting my stream to the mac was when I was
trying to authorize the stream for an audible account. Is this now possible on
a mac? I had to borrow a PC to authorize my stream on Audible. Other than
that I've never had to use a PC for anything. :) I actually need to authorize
my stream again for audible since my SD card that had the audible files on it
became corrupt and I had to trash it.

The only other issue I've had was that I could not transfer the notes (recorded
items) to the mac and use them as I knew of no software to use those files.
However, with the soft pack upgrade one can now record in mp3 or wav.

So, I love my stream and cannot imagine not having it and I have no problems
getting content on my stream via a card reader. So, it works out great for me.
