I used a Braille Lite 40 for years  with both JAWS and NVDA in Windows with a 
USB-to-serial converter. I've tried it on a Mac, but the only thing that 
recognizes it is the network preferences. I suppose it could work with the 
terminal, but that's not my main focus.
