Finder has no window is not uncommon, though in this case may be
related. But I would suggest a couple thing. Don't use a bub. and test
each drive alone in Dish Utility and run First Aid on.

I guess I should explain the whole boring thing. Nobody is obligated to read.
I am bored with it myself.
A few months ago, my drive that I used for Time Machine just up and died. So I
started with a new one. I sometimes connected this new drive with just a cable
and sometimes through a hub. I also began to notice problems with the message
that the Finder had no windows, and I am not sure when this began.
Last week, I had more than one drive connected through this hub, and the Finder
started to lock up on me, often locking up the whole Mac, sometimes to the
point where I could not force quit or even get to the menu bar in any app, and
I felt like I had no recourse but to use the dreaded power button. . I have
since connected the other drives and they work, so it is the one that has been
used for Time Machine. I have an old 2015 Air, so I connected that drive to
that computer, and it also froze that computer. The old Time Machine drive
didn’t work in that machine either. If I remember right, it wasn’t even
recognized at all.
I’m still in the process of figuring out exactly what is happening. I would
really like to run Time Machine and back up my files, but I think it is a weird
coincidence that two drives have become unusable while doing it. I also need
to more thoroughly test my other two drives that I use for media storage, as
well as figuring out if something is wrong with the hub.
Up till now, I have had great experiences with this Mac. I am still not a
power user, but I felt like I was coming along fairly well until all this
started. It is not fun, but maybe it will force me to learn parts of the Mac I
have been avoiding up till now, as well as helping me develop problem solving
skills.
Everybody on this list is very supportive.

Are the Time machine drives plugged in? You mentioned them so that makes things
confusing. No Finder issues for me, but you can always try restarting it from
the task manager.

Hi. I am having continued problems with the Finder on my Mac, which I just
updated to 13. Whatever. I have had two hard discs that I used for Time
Machine go bad for some reason. But also, even when I can see the files in my
Finder, I can’t do much from there and can’t even get to the menu bar from
there. What has happened to the Finder? Are other people having weird
behavior with the finder in these later versions of Ventura while using
VoiceOver? I thought that I just had a problem with a bad disc drive, a bad
cable, a bad hub, or something like that, but I also seem to have problems with
the Finder that I can’t blame on these other things. Can anybody tell me
anything that will help? Have I just lost my mind? Always a possibility.
Thanks for any help.
