As far as the Time Machine drives go, it is possible you had to select your
backup again if you jumped from an earlier version of MacOS. This, though,
would depend on how far back your system was previously. I have had situations
in which I had to reselect my time machine backup disk for unknown reasons.

As for Finder, I am not seeing issues with either of my Macs. Simple things
to check is be sure your view options didn't switch for any reason. Also, it's
a long shot, but try resetting your VoiceOver settings in the VO Utility.

Subject: Continued problems with Finder

Hi. I am having continued problems with the Finder on my Mac, which I just
updated to 13. Whatever. I have had two hard discs that I used for Time
Machine go bad for some reason. But also, even when I can see the files in my
Finder, I can’t do much from there and can’t even get to the menu bar from
there. What has happened to the Finder? Are other people having weird
behavior with the finder in these later versions of Ventura while using
VoiceOver? I thought that I just had a problem with a bad disc drive, a bad
cable, a bad hub, or something like that, but I also seem to have problems with
the Finder that I can’t blame on these other things. Can anybody tell me
anything that will help? Have I just lost my mind? Always a possibility.

Thanks for any help.
