Tim, Interesting. So I was not aware that holding the option key was relevant.
I did use the Command-R key combination to bring up the recovery process, which is accessible with Voiceover. But have not tried just holding down the option key. I may. Just play with that right now to see if I can bring back Big Sur from hiding using your idea. Sad that VO is not active during that process.
