Hi, I just purchased a Brother HL-L2395DW for my home office. I'm expecting it to work well for Apple/Mac, Windows, Android, and Linux--but I've just gotten it out of the box.
It was $99 at Amazon. It supports print, copy, and scan. There's no builtin fax, which is OK by me. Fax over an analog phone line isn't even possible in my office any longer as I haven't had analog phone lines for a decade. I'll update in a day or so whether I had any issues getting printing and scanning running from my Macbook Air, which is on Catalina.
