Hi, Did you set the Airport to factory defaults? If yes, then when you first open Airport Utility, VO-space on "Other WiFi Devices", then select the Extreme from there, instead of pressing the "Next" button, press the "Other Options" button. Select the item that says something about adding your device to an existing network. I suggest you choose "to "Join" as opposed to "Extend". That seems to be as granular as it can go now, but after you set it up, you can then go in and get more detailed in your settings.
