Hi, That version of Drag & Drop does not normally work in the situation you're outlining. Try using the original Drag & Drop method. Make sure that the app window where you wish to drop is open. Navigate to the Applications folder, navigate to the app you wish to drag, press VO-cmd-f5 (add FN if on a laptop) to pick it up. VO will announce "Mouse down". Use App Chooser to get to the app where you plan to drop, navigate to the drop locations, press VO-cmd-f5 (add FN if on a laptop) to drop. VO will announce "Mouse up" to let you know that it was released.
Sometimes, even this method will not work. Drag &b Drop is an awkward method for these sorts of actions, but it appears that many developers like to use it for the sighted world. Later...
