Hi all,

I've been following this thread, but until this  morning haven't had much time 
to work on finding a solution.  But, I have found one.

ET, if you access the rtf file through Pages rather than files, it will open in 
Pages rather than VDR. So do the following:
1. Open Pages.
2. Scroll through the list of files till you get to the document you want.
3. Double-tap to open.

You will be in your document in Pages.

I don't know why VDR takes over like it does, but at least there's a 
work-around.  I hope this helps.
