Actually ET, a lot of the stuff being made now is shipped from the factory much
more secure than it used to be. Apple and Google both have very secure home
control protocols. Nice use of strong cryptography so you don’t have to worry
about the Russians or the Clintons changing your temperature or spying on you
through your cameras. Unlike the Android side, Google is also very good at
patching their home control products like the Nest if problems arise.
I would be comfortable setting up any of the major systems for anyone
in my family and not worry about their security. That doesn’t mean I’d
encourage them to use every Chinese knock off camera and gadget out there but
if my mother for example wanted to use Apple or Google in the home I wouldn’t
lose sleep over it.> On May 26, 2017, at 6:20 PM, E.T. <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hey Simon, > Who can ignore the fact that the world is going digital at the speed of > light?
