ok, so how do I go to the end of the text field once I've double tapped in it?

I actually find both useful, so try them both as well to see if it is helpful and yes it is a personal choice. VoiceOver will tell you if there is anything in the password field and in fact will state how many characters, but of course not what those characters are. If you double tap on the field, you will be told if your at the beginning or end of the field. If you want to edit a password field, my advice is just go to the end and erase everything with the delete key. THe delete function will delete the character to the left of wherever you are. Since I have not used Skype or Facebook on my iPhone, I can't comment on how either behaves if differently from other applications I've used. Btw, yes, the audio through the speaker is not the highest quality, but then considering how thin the iPod Touch is, it is not that bad. :) Hopefully this helps you some and others who use either or both apps might have other thoughts.
