It's not a total failure, until it is, and then it'll be a spectacular failure. It's a quick-fix solution for a quick-fix world, where your food comes from a tube and your cure from a pill, where you travel 80 miles an hour to go nowhere. While this might sound like I"m disparaging Western society, I don't believe that in Eastern society, generally speaking, it's any better--there, the blind are pitied and no less trapped, from the little I've learned and seen of that paradigm. The shunning of the blind is universal. ... Hey, that government agency wouldn't have any open positions... would then? :)
