In the US we had a supposed terrorist attack where two people walked in to a center and shot up the place in the name of ISIL or dAESH or what ever we’re calling the boogie man today. They supposedly had iPhones and the FBI can’t gain access to them and wants access. The courts have directed Apple to develop a tool the will circumvent their cryptography. This tool would be available of course outside the country as well so people that aren’t US citizens should still care. Google Apple verses the FBI if you’d like to learn more.
