Unison was fantastic but no longer supported. You could probably find a copy on a news group somewhere or a torrent.
Since you have to pay for good news service anyway, grab up an easy news or giganews account. They both offer you fully adaquit web interfaces for downloading. Personally, I have gotten sick of the whole file downloading thing. I used to be a news group user, but I'd download 30 or 60 gig, and end up throwing it all away because the quality was bad. same with torrent trackers and DCHubs.
