Hmm. Isn't the default a medium firm press? I left it set to the default and feel that I must press pretty hard to get it to activate. I'm not trying to be critical but it might be good to start training not to press so hard. It's a waste of energy and might contribute to unnecessary issues if one is already sensitive to something like carpal tunnel or whatever. Double tap and hold requires only that the finger remain on the screen with a very light touch. Now maybe there is a hardware issue that is contributing to the problem and I am not trying to insinuate that this is not the case.

Since I don’t use 3D Touch at all, it’s also been very tempting for me to turn the feature off entirely. And yes, I already have it set to maximum firmness; I still keep hitting the blasted thing. But since I have this iPhone 6S, with its greater weight and thickness, it smaller battery, and also its better radios, I can’t bring myself to do it without trying at least to make better use of the 3D Touch feature. -- The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries list.
