Ok, I followed the instructions according to what you posted, and it all the computer did was simply restart itself. I did command+r+p, altogether, then pressed the power button, with these held down, and it just restarted like normal, so have no idea what to make of it; then tried it pressing and holding the power button with all of them held down, and it restarted, then shut it self down, so not sure what to make of this, and is still acting up.
