I purchased the Mac Book Pro in June of 2014 and its a 13 inch with retna display. It has flash storage if I remember the exact wording the sales geek used when I bought it. I was like a deer caught in the headlights by the time I walked out of the store so at the time it did not even cross my mind to ask about connecting it via cable to the net. I’ll check on-line like you say.

You might also need a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter if your laptop doesn't have an Ethernet port (check the specifications, which you should be able to find online). Mine is a late 2013 MacBook Pro, and it requires the adapter. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
