Hi Yuma,

I'm pretty sure I answered this before. There is a Japanese voice for
the Mac that you can get from the DTalker web site:

http://www.createsystem.co.jp/dtalkerMacOSX.html

In order to read this with VoiceOver, you're going to have to run the
page through Google Translate. Although you can presave a bookmarklet
that will let you automatically translate a web page to another
language, the simplest way to get this information is to copy the
above link, then go to the general Google Translate page at:

http://translate.google.com/#

and paste the URL into the text box. You should be positioned there
when you go to the page, and when you first press tab you should reach
the pop up button for the language you want to translate from. (Shift
tab to move back to the text box for the URL, or you can use item
chooser menu to look for "Enter text or a webpage URL" and then VO-
Right arrow to the text box.) Set the first pop up button to Japanese
(VO-Space, then press "J), then tab to the next pop up and set the
language you want to translate to (e.g. English, French, etc.) Tab to
the "Translate" button and press (VO-Space) to get a translated
version of the web page.

Here are some excerpts:

<begin excerpt>
"Dokyumentotoka for Mac Ver3.0"

        • Products
        • Updater
        • ORDER HERE
<end excerpt>

the "ORDER HERE" location is a link to:

http://www.createsystem.co.jp/dtalkerMacOSX.html#DTalkerV3MacPackage

(all the pages are in Japanese -- you need to use the Translate option
to let VoiceOver read them)
Translated price information:
<begin excerpt>
Sales order form from our packages
Market price 9,975 yen (9,500 yen tax) +1,050 yen (tax included
shipping fee)

Download from Bekutapurorejisabisu Price: 8,925 yen (8,500 yen tax)
<end excerpt>
the page gives links to where you can either purchased boxed (first
listed option) or downloadable (second listed option) versions of the
software.

The main page also appears to have recent updates that work with
Leopard (of both the voices and the speech engine for software
development). However, Snow Leopard supported voices do not appear to
be available yet:

"For current <BR> Snow Leopard support, Speech Manager compliant
"Takashi" "practice" with regard to the, Snow Leopard 64-bit is not
supported.
Compatible version is currently under development, upon completion,
will be published as a free upgrade from version of our page.
Now thank you for your patience."

HTH

Cheers,

Esther
