Again, try adding the smart ones to the pronunciation dictionary. Yes, I'd call 
it an accessibility bug, and yes, it's a visual thing. They look different, or 
better, or something. Perhaps someone with some vision can enlighten us further 
on this? In the meantime, please email accessibil...@apple.com and let them 
know. Also, note that this is a VoiceOver problem in general, not specific to 
Pages.
