Hi Jonathan, Voiceover does not seem to track with keyboard focus. That is why when you arrow through a list, vo doesn’t announce any selection. However, the focus is moving because when I move vo away from the table and back, vo will announce the selection of the row number. I’ve found that when I interact with the table and use vo to move through the items, focus tracks and everything is pretty good. I do find this new development to be an annoyance however, and I’ve reported the bug.

I have the source list activated, and now as I arrow through the options, whether I've interacted with the control or not, I get no speech. The problem can also be seen when arrowing through the list of categories and stations in Internet radio within iTunes. In an attempt to see if this was something going on with my Mac or a general problem, I upgraded my fiancee's Mac to the new Mavericks and iTunes and the same thing is happening to her now. So when you are worrying about your troubles, just spare a thought for how much trouble i'm now in and it will put things in perspective. :) I think I'll try upgrading my daughter's Mac and see if I can make it a perfect three. Would be interested to know if anyone else is seeing this.
