Another possible longshot is whether you've used Bluetooth for your network connection in the past. Maybe it has itself confused. In the same network preference there is an action menu which lets you set the service order. Mine goes Bluetooth DUN, Ethernet, WiGi then Thunderbolt Bridge. So that's the order of preference if it's finding multiple connection methods. I never changed that on mine so I'm assuming that is the default order. So getting out of that and going back to the services table I find three rows - Ethernet, WiFi and Thunderbolt. I have my laptop plugged into Ethernet and have a wifi connection so both of those show up as Connected while the Thunderbolt Bridge is not. Do you have any additional connected networks and, if so, are they ones that would take precedent over Ethernet or Wifi?
