Hi, Everything I've read so far, for the newer versions, just tells you to throw the app into the Trash to uninstall. This is done either for sighted users, by dragging it into the Trash or by any user by selecting the app then pressing cmd-delete which is the keyboard shortcut for placing something into the Trash. In most cases, this is all you ever need to do to uninstall an app on the Mac. There are cases where you need to delete certain Library and/or System files, but the vast majority of apps can be removed in the manner explained.
I've not seen cmd-double-click in any situation but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. There is a control-click on an item, which just brings up the Contextual menu like VO-shift-m does where you could choose the "Move to Trash" item. Later...
