Hello Ray,

Talking Goggles does not use human beings to interpret what it sees. It does
some OCR and some automatic translating as well as comparing images with stock
images. So it recognises book covers, CDs and famous images, as well as
interpreting print. It only reads a few words at a time, but for me, that's
enough to identify food items in my kitchen. It will also read the main
ingredients on cans of dog and cat food.

Cheers,

Anne
