OK, thanks. I've not been unhappy with Pages, so we'll see, but I may check it
out.
Best,
Donna

Nisus Writer and Pages are 2 both extremely well thought out and well written
pieces of software but its horses for courses here, try them and see which one
you like best, I like them both.

I bought Nisus Writer long before Pages was as accessible as it is now.

I like Open Office as well and I also like Bean, that's a very basic word
processor but - given the fact its available to you for absolutely no charge
whatever - it is a true give away.

Hi Dane,

Is there some reason that you think Nisus writer would be preferable over pages?
TIA,
Donna

Certainly, you can interact with the toolbars and drawers to fine tune it, you
can also load a style in from a file.

I'm using Nisus Writer Pro again now after dumping it for a few months, why did
I do that oh why! foolish, very foolish I <smile>, that piece of software has
gone ahead in leaps and bounds as far as accessibility and usability goes since
I used it and I can't wait to see what its like under Snow Leopard.

Well Mac Journal is accessible, but not Mainer Write and nor is Mellel. I've
kind of given up with Mellel too. The only options then for word processing
would be Nisus Writer and Pages and of course open office. It does depend
though on what you want to do. As I said Latex is fantastic, but sometimes it
can be a litle time consuming especially when you've missed a brace or typed
something incorrectly lol

I stoped holding my breath with Mariner a couple years ago.  I remember they
were going to make accessible software but the years went by and the versions
went by and nothing happened.

I think I'll continue to breathe normally.

Hello.  Here is a link to another word processing software.  I have not used
this yet.  But just wanted to spread the word on one more choice.
