So I now get my conversion performed OK when I generate the PDF document, but the preview of the figure in the LyX editing window still says 'Error converting to loadable format'. Would you be able to provide me any pointers as to why this is? Is there a log of the errors that occurred in this process anywhere?
If you launch LyX from a terminal window, you should see the error messages. Richard
