Hi all,

In my local layout (thanks for local layouts), I've added an
environment that is supposed to be just like the Standard environment
except that it leaves about 1.5 lineheights after itself.

So it looks like this:

Style Lastpara
  CopyStyle             Standard
  LatexType             Environment
  LatexName             lastparaL
  BottomSep             1.0
End

And the LaTeX part of it, lastparaL, is defined in the preamble part
of the layout, like this:

\newenvironment{lastparaL}[0]{\begin{Standard}}
{\end{Standard}\\[10ex]}

When I try to pdflatex it, I get this error:

LaTeX Error: Environment Standard undefined

That surprises me, seeing as the vast majority of paragraphs in my
book look like this when Vimming my LyX file:

\begin_layout Standard
In 2000 he bought a small strip-mall with nine stores.
 Finally his real estate holdings paid enough to provide him with a
good
 salary over and above paying their loan payments.
 This was the world of my childhood.
\end_layout

Sure looks like a layout called "Standard" to me.

A couple things to keep in mind:

1) My layout file Inputs stdclass.inc at the top
2) Symptom remains the same whether the LaTeX goes in the preamble at
the beginning of the layout file, or in the LyX style definition
itself with a Preamble/EndPreamble pair.

What am I missing here?

Thanks
