>From another Arch Linux user: I had no problems installing the currently available lyx version from pacman (lyx 2.0.1). I only ran into problems when trying to compile lyx from svn sources. However, I do not use pacman's texlive distribution. I got used to manage tex through its own package manager (tlmgr) and bypassed Arch's own distribution.
