Guenter, I have the problem isolated to viewing the document with dvips. I exported the text using the pdflatex option, and ran that on the *.tex file. No problems. Next, within LyX, I changed the document class to "memoir" and viewd it using pdflatex rather than dvips. It displayed properly. So, is this a 'feature' of the memoir class, or does LyX need adjustment? Thanks, Rich -- Richard B.
