If you have paragraphs that are in the "wrong" language (as a result of
a copy operation from a different document), you can just select that text,
go to Edit->Text Style, and reset the language to whatever you want ("reset"
will return to the default of the document.)

It's not clear to me that there is a bug here. Copying text from a document
with a different language preserves the original language specification, which
would seem to be the correct action.

after the copy is made, the change of language (Settings --> Language)
cannot act on the copied paragraphs, and it should be able of changing
globally the language of all paragraphs, even the ones copied from a
document with a different language, in my opinion.
