I tried a bunch of other suggestions - maybe someone wants to comment on this problem. \lhead worked fine with text, but, > \lhead{\includegraphics{temp_graphic.eps}} as soon as I stuck the \includegraphcs{temp_graphic.eps} stuff into the \lhead command, I got the error "undefined control sequence \end{document}".
