If execute the line which gives me the error in the lyx debug

sh C:/lyx/share/lyx/scripts/convertDefault.sh 
eps:F:/chapters/fig/exp/rose.eps 
ppm:C:/cygwin/tmp/lyx_tmpdir2468a02816/rose2468a02816.ppm

in a command window the figure is converted correctly. Strange?
