Hello all you Lyx'ers,
first of all many thanks to all of you who are doing a really incredible good job
brining Lyx to what it is and might become. I've just finished writing my PhD-thesis
with Lyx. The whole document (150 pages) in one file on a AMD-K6-400, thats great.
Only five crashes or so (I'm still using 1.1.5fix1) when the marking went wrong an
I've continued.
Now I have the problem that I have to convert the document into several pdf files
(each chapter as a separate file). I've started with 'tex2pdf' (latest version) but
this brings a corrupt pdf-file. Now I've changed to epstopdf. From Lyx I export a
dvi-file and then do dvips -Ppdf (what I was told by a friend). I and shuffled a lot
with the fonts to get a good looking pdf-file. I have written the document in
book(koma-script) with font set to default. This brings more or less shadowed
characters in the pdf-file, even after putting \include{ae, aecomp} into the Latex
header no changes have occurred. With pslatex and times as text font the normal text
characters look ok but the mathematical symbols and equation still have the shadowed
looking. Does anybody know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance for any advises
Wolfgang
