Hi Robert, I’ve just tried that with LyX 2.4.0 and it works on my system. I’m on macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave). I’m using a fresh copy of LyX 2.4.0 to the /Applications folder. Did you put your version of LyX into the default /Applications folder too? If not you have to fiddle with the settings for the path to LyX in Skim and you can’t get it work for more then one LyX install simultaneously.
