Please excuse me for asking a second question the very first day
of my membership in this usergroup... I promise to help as soon
as I will be a more proficient user of LyX.
I installed the excellent bibliography manager called
"tkbibtex". It works very well, and was able to digest a big
file with about 1000 entries. I have a problem with this
bibliographic manager + LyX. I think I did what is required for
the setup of the pipe to and from LyX:
-- added
\serverpipe "/home/guido/.lyxpipe"
to my .lyxrc file;
-- added
set LyXpipe /home/guido/.lyxpipe
to my .tkbibtexrc file.
I open LyX before tkbibtex.
When I hit "c" to send a bibliographic info to LyX, I get this
message (line 2171 of the script):
No LyXpipe
(/home/guido/.lyxpipe.*)
exists.
Check your .LyXrc file
I noticed the difference of capitalisation lyxpipe / LyXpipe,
but I do not think this to be the point (?).
Then another window says:
Error: can not find channel named "-1"
However, on stdout (console screen) the program writes "Sending
citation Smith:99 to LyX" (Smith:99 is obviously an example), as
the script says on line 2191.
If I run tkbibtex with the option "-lyx .lyxpipe" the program
writes all the bibliographic data on stdout and exits.
Any help greately appreciated!
