The problem exists only under Windows.

It is maybe acrobat reader only, but it is even worse under linux.
That is to say:

1. under windows: you are not allowed to view if acrobat reader is
previewing a previous version. (You at least get an error message).

2. under linux: you are allowed to view, and the file has actually
been re-generated, but acrobat reader does not switch to the newer
version. This is, in my opinion, even worse.

I still think using different temp files is a good solution, I do not
see a good counter-argument till now.
