I've *not* yet tested Aleph myself, but I know that it helps
multilingual typesetting with omega, as it's e-TeX extensions to
Omega, and It was called e-Omega before.
What's important for me is: "It's possible to typeset multiple
languages and It supports bidirectional text".

I should tell you that I'm using LyX with Lambda(that is like LaTeX
for TeX) and some macros for language switching and It does the job
right.
