Have you ever considered that there are people running systems with 
limited space on their harddisks?

This gets ridiculous. The source tree is about 200M, a debug build
almost 1G. Same for profiling. How many trees do you expect me to check
out on my laptop given that the whole Linux partition is 10G?

I can tell you: Two at most.
